SQL 2016

First of all let me say that multi hash is a fabulous component and I use it all the time!

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with using multi hash with SQL 2016 CTP? In theory I would think that after install SQL 2016 you could copy the dll to the 2016 pipeline directory and run GAC to register the assembly and all would be well. Is that true?

Glad to hear from another happy user...

To get it to work with SQL 2016 will be harder than you expect.

For all other versions, I have to recompile the component, using the appropriate SSIS version assemblies, and then GAC the DLL, and place it into the pipeline directories (x86 and x64).
If you download the source code, you will see that there are projects for each SQL Server version from 2005 onwards.

I haven't installed the 2016 CTP, so I can't confirm that is true for 2016.

I'll have to see if I can get the SSIS 2016 assemblies without installing the CTP onto my machine, as I don't want to break everything else on my machine. That will involve building a new virtual machine to support the CTP.

I'll see if I can get something done within a week.
