This release is an SQL 2014 fix release.
It addresses the following:
- The 188.8.131.52 release's SQL 2014 installer didn't work for SQL 2014 RTM.
- The x64 installer also showed x86 for both x64 and x86 in SQL 2014.
Please download the x64 of x32 file based on the bitness of your SQL Server installation.BIDS or SSDT/BI ONLY INSTALLS ARE NOT DETECTED.
use the Custom
install, to install when the popup is shown, and select which versions of SQL Server are available.
A warning popup will be displayed when installing onto a workstation or server where SSIS is not detected. If this popup is shown, then installation will default to C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\nnn\DTS based on the bitness and version of the installation. You can override this location if desired by selecting the bitness, and clicking on Browse to select an alternate location.
I have been unable to find a reliable method of detecting BIDS, and where the installation location of the DLL's should be.
