Release Notes

This is version 1.3 of the Multiple Hash SSIS Component.

It supports SQL 2005 and SQL 2008, although you have to download the correct install package.

The SQL 2008 version handles all datatypes.
The SQL 2005 version does not handle DTDBDate, DTDBTime and DTFileTime, and these are rejected in the Validate function, and via the GUI interface.

This release fixes a major design bug, that allowed for null columns to "swap" and not be detected as a change.
eg. the following situation...
Col 1 Col 2 Col 3 Hash
Text NULL Text 2 0x123456
Text Text 2 NULL 0x123456
NULL Text Text 2 0x123456

This release also corrects the issue SSIS Multiple Hash does not convert to Visual Studio 2008 (SSIS Multiple Hash does not convert to Visual Studio 2008)

Please note that the ZIP files contain Visual Studio installers, that DO NOT detect non standard installations (not %ProgramFiles%), or 64 bit servers.
The EXE files contain NSIS installers that detect non standard installations and 64 bit servers, and handle both.

The DLL files in these installers are the same.

There was an error in the SetupMultipleHash2008_V1.3.exe installer, and it failed to install the XML file required to enable upgrading from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008.
The installer has been replaced.
If you downloaded the installer prior to or on the 15th of October 2010, then you should download and execute the SetupMultipleHash2008MissingUpgradeXMLV1.3.exe, which will install this file.

SetupMultipleHash2008MissingUpgradeXMLV1.3.exe is ONLY required if you have previously downloaded the SetupMultipleHash2008_V1.3.exe installer.
